Hi everybody, I’m Dazzle’s sister, posting on her behalf.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances (namely, Hurricane Ike), my sister wont have internet access for a while.  Therefore, she’s not sure when she’ll be able to post the winners up on this website.  Hopefully, things will be up and running smoothly again, but until then, please be patient and understanding.

Updates!

So far, voting has been going very well. We’ve already received 500+ votes! The results of Round 1 will be up on Sept. 14 and voting will close Sept. 9.

Round 2 will take place from the end of November to the middle of January. Nominations will start Nov. 25 and will end Dec. 25, giving all of you plenty of time to nominate the stories and plenty of time for me and the validators to look through them to make sure they’re good quality.

Also, recently we’ve been getting a lot of comments and feedback about “Shezza” and “nonjon” not being on the “Best Authors” list - I just want to clear this up. In order to be on the Best Author Nominees list, you must be nominated for it. The people who nominated Shezza’s “The Denarian Renegade: Book One” and nonjon’s “A Black Comedy” left the field that asked “Nominating this author for Best Author?” blank.

If you wish to see Shezza and nonjon on the Best Author nominees list, feel free to nominate them for it for Round 2!

Voting for Round 1 is now up! Click on “vote” in the top navigation, but remember to read the voting rules, first, or the form will not go through.

Also, I just wanted to mention, due to the lack of nominations for FemSlash, I have combined Best Slash/FemSlash together.

Aspen In The Sunlight has been added to the Nominees list for Best Author. She had been nominated and I had carelessly forgotten her, so for anyone who wants to vote for Aspen In The Sunlight for Best Author, please cast your votes again — but please, if you are re-voting so you could vote for Aspen, then please just vote for her again, don’t re-vote for everyone else.

Lastly, the mistakes/missing people on the ballot has been corrected! I’m really sorry for all the confusion.

I just wanted to make a quick point - for the first round I wanted to try out the “author permissions” thing and it just didn’t really work out. I would love to add your fic in Round 2 of The Quibbler Awards, which will take place in January/February (The Awards are bi-annual)
